    With an active DIY Costa Rica account, you should be able to view the content on every page of our website. We do not offer tiered membership; all members have access to the same quantity of information. If you have successfully logged into your DIY Costa Rica account but a page you visit does not display the protected content (i.e., if it prompts you to log-in again), there is a device/computer issue that needs to be resolved.

    Some device/computers’ cookie storage affects our website’s ability to display some of our pages’ protected content. We’ve had only a few people mention that they have experienced this issue, as most members are able to access all of DIY Costa Rica’s protected pages without experiencing a problem. Since the problem only affects a small number of members, it has been tough to narrow down which devices/computers (and more specifically, which internet browsers/operating systems) experience the glitch and why. If you’re currently experiencing this issue, we can offer a solution: clear your device/computer’s cache and ensure proper log-out of our DIY Costa Rica account prior to closing your internet browser.

    From our understanding, the issue exists when logged-in members close their internet browser without officially logging out of their DIY Costa Rica account first. Following the steps below should solve the problem..

    #1. Open your internet browser (if it isn’t already open) and visit DIY Costa Rica (https://www.diycostarica.com). Make sure you are logged in to your DIY Costa Rica account. If you aren’t already logged into your DIY Costa Rica account, do so on the log-in page here.

    #2. Officially log-out of your DIY Costa Rica account. You can do so on the log-in page here, which provides a link to log-out. Once you are logged out, close (i.e., exit) your internet browser.

    #3. After you have officially logged out of your DIY Costa Rica account and closed your browser, please clear your computer’s cache to get rid of the cookies (you will need to re-open a new internet browser window in order to clear the cache through the browser’s internet settings).

    #4. After the cache has been completely cleared, re-visit DIY Costa Rica (https://www.diycostarica.com) and log-in to your DIY Costa Rica account. You should now be able to browse through all of our website’s protected content without issue.

    The above four steps should fix the problem temporarily. To avoid future issues (and to avoid having to clear your device/computer’s cache frequently), remember to log-out of your DIY Costa Rica account prior to leaving our website.
